Our Impact
UNDP & The Government of Japan - Solar Freezer / Refrigerator project, Bihar (SF) & Tamilnadu (BVT)
In partnership with UNDP and the Government of Japan, we implemented an impactful project in the states of Bihar and Tamil Nadu. By equipping farmers with 50 solar refrigerators and freezers, we addressed a critical challenge of post-harvest losses of fruits/vegetables/dairy & fish products. These innovative solutions extended the shelf life of aquatic and perishable produce, directly improving income opportunities and food security for rural farmers residing in the remotest and tribal regions of these states.

JSW Foundation—Empowering Villages with Solar Street Lights in Rural Chandigarh & Haryana
AgriVijay, in partnership with JSW, launched the Solar Street Light Project, which brought sustainable and reliable lighting to villages across Chandigarh and Haryana. This initiative aimed to enhance safety, improve livelihoods, and drive sustainable rural development by harnessing the power of solar energy. By installing solar-powered streetlights, we addressed critical challenges such as limited nighttime mobility, security concerns, and restricted economic opportunities. Well-lit streets empowered local businesses, enabled students to study after sunset, and created safer environments for women and children. Additionally, the transition to solar energy reduced reliance on conventional electricity and kerosene lamps, lowering both carbon emissions and energy costs for rural households.
Third Planet Foundation - Deploying Solar Smart Classrooms in Rural Schools of Tribal Regions in Madhya Pradesh
We successfully completed a transformative initiative by installing 32 Solar Offgrid Inverters with Smart TVs in rural schools across the tribal areas of Jhabua District, Madhya Pradesh. This project made a meaningful difference as we reached 10,494 students and provided them with enhanced learning opportunities, while also supporting 214 teachers and staff by improving their teaching environment. The benefits of this project extended far beyond cost savings, as it enhanced the learning environment and the overall quality of life for both students and staff.
BAIF—Deployment of Solar Rice Dehusking Machine, Solar Sewing Machine, Solar Inverter & Dryer Project
The objective of the project was to enhance rural livelihoods, promote women’s empowerment, and reduce post-harvest losses through the deployment of decentralized solar-powered technologies such as solar rice de-husking machines, solar sewing machines, solar inverters & solar dryers in the state of Maharashtra for underserved communities. This project aims to provide clean, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions to improve agricultural processing, rural entrepreneurship, and climate resilience across rural Maharashtra.
SELCO Foundation - Atmanirbhar Kisan Parivar Project
We implemented our last-mile livelihood business model of Renewable Energy Stores at the village level for the rural communities impacted due to COVID under Catalyse Tech 2021. We opened 20+ renewable energy stores at the village level in the Jaipur & Ajmer regions of Rajasthan and provided training and knowledge to the RE store owners on the benefits of renewable & green energy products in solar, biogas, green energy (electric), agritech & organic ranges of products. With the help of Renewable Energy Stores, we generated employment and revenue-generating opportunities to grow and stand again, mitigating COVID’s impact on the livelihood of rural youth.
Arpan Seva Sansthan & MGNREGA - Clean Cooking for Rural Women with Biogas Digester Project
AgriVijay got an opportunity to work with Arpan Seva Sansthan in Rajasthan and MGNREGA at the District Panchayat of Dadra & Nagar Haveli for deploying biogas digesters. We replaced firewood & chemical fertilizer in 15+ rural households with clean cooking fuel—biogas & organic liquid bio-slurry—using flexible biogas digesters by treating animal waste. Rural women & their families now have access to healthy, smokeless cooking practices with clean fuel along with additional financial savings of about INR 2000/month per family. It saves time spent on collecting and cooking using firewood, which is now given to their children, household, or other economic activities. This biogas digester comes with a 10-year warranty and abates 5 tonnes of CO₂/GHG emissions annually.
SELCO Foundation - Electric Tool Bar & Enterprise Development Project
AgriVijay got an opportunity to work with SELCO Foundation, where we deployed Electric Toolbar, Solar Dryer, Solar Hydroponics, Solar Sprayer & Solar Refrigerators. The Electric Toolbar is utilized for secondary tillage activities such as weeding, sowing, tilling, and spraying, effectively replacing the need for an expensive tractor, extensive labor, and dependency on animals in farming practices. AgriVijay installed these electric toolbars in a small village in Odisha, empowering the farmers with renewable and green energy products. The primary objective of the Enterprise Development Program was to scale DRE-integrated livelihood technologies, bringing increased savings for rural households and reducing the dependency & consumption of fossil fuels across rural India.
Grameen Foundation - Capacity Building of Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) with Renewable Energy (RE) Products by Renewable Energy (RE) Store Business Model Project
AgriVijay, in partnership with the Grameen Foundation, launched and implemented the Capacity Building of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) with Renewable Energy (RE) Products by Renewable Energy (RE) Store Business Model Project. A transformative initiative aimed at equipping Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) in Uttar Pradesh with the knowledge to drive sustainable energy adoption in rural communities. Through a centralized training program, we empowered FPOs to become key enablers of solar, biogas, and green energy – electric solutions, fostering economic growth while addressing climate change. By building a network of farmer-led enterprises, this initiative enhanced energy accessibility, reduced carbon footprints, and promoted financial independence for rural households.
